Joshua Jo is a London-based Korean British actor working across UK and US television and film.

His path to screen acting followed studies in Arts and Theology at Cambridge and London, alongside early work in television development and post production, before transitioning into on-camera performance.

Joshua played a lead role as Saigō Takamori in the BBC series Civilisations: Rise and Fall, portraying the historical figure that inspired The Last Samurai. He also drew attention for his role as Mr. Sang-Chol, a charismatic and eccentric South Korean billionaire, in the Disney+ series The Full Monty.

His screen credits include Halo (Paramount+), The Capture Series 2 (BBC), and Jack Ryan 4 (Amazon Prime). He has recenly finished The Dog Stars, a 20th Century Studios feature directed by Ridley Scott. He will next be seen as antagonist Ilias Khan in Netflix’s Tamerlane, scheduled for theatrical release in April 2026.

He is currently preparing his next screen projects.
